For many years, I have executed Kick It charity events, raising money for incredible organizations that affect people all around the world. I have always supported these causes from afar, through Kick It, and am now ready to take it a step further. This July, I will be joining Flying Kites, a Boston-based organization that runs a school for vulnerable children in Kenya, on an Adventure Challengeto climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. I will travel to Kenya with a team of go-getters to meet the children of Flying Kites and spend some time learning from them and the team on the ground. From there, we will head to Tanzania, where we will embark on a week-long trek to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro (the highest freestanding mountain in the world at 19,341′ altitude) to raise money and awareness for the students at Flying Kites.
Trekking to the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro will be the toughest physical, mental, and emotional task of my life. For me, it's in those scary moments when you grow the most. I am ready for this growth and I am excited to inspire others to reach their limits and push their boundaries with a group of people who inspire me to do the same. Please consider donating to our team's campaign for this remarkable organization -- 100 percent of proceeds will go directly to the cause.
Yours in gratitude and altitude,
